On the margins of the High-Level Week of the UN General Assembly. The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani, part of the delegation led by President Bajram Begaj, participated in the morning breakfast with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs from Western Balkans, Slovenia and Croatia organized by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani.

Minister Hasani thanked the proactive role of Italy, Croatia and Slovenia in the integration process of the Western Balkans, as he emphasized that Albania will do utmost to  meet all requirements that would pave the way for an accelerated integration perspective.

During his stay in New York, the Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani  held bilateral meetings with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Egypt and Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom where they discussed a range of issues on bilateral, regional and global relations.

On the 20th of September, the Albanian Presidency of the Security Council will organize one of the most important events on Ukraine. The High Level Open Debate will be Chaired by Prime Minister Edi Rama. President  Volodymyr Zelenskyy and about 50 Heads of States have confirmed the participation.
